Halloween Times

I want to take a trip towards the end of October to some state that really knows how to celebrate Halloween. What I dont want is Halloween in Hawaii, or Halloween in Arizona. I want some place that captures the essence of autumn, pumpkin carving contests, street masquerades, themed food and drink, those fun houses where people jump out at you.

Some place where the leaves are beautiful and the culture is inviting, fun, and classically cool.

I love Halloween! It is really fun. I don’t trick or treat but I pass out candy. I think that is really fun. I love to watch Halloween movies and eat a ton of candy until I am sick. Decorating is fun. It is just great. But to get to my question, what should my costume be. I DO NOT want to go to walmart and buy a ready to wear costume. I want to be creative. I want to look good too. You never know who will walk up to my doorstep. Also, people don’t trick or treat in my neighborhood. I live in a bad area of nyc. I came home early from work. I want to go to the Halloween parade but im afraid of going outside and getting egged. Its happened before..I think if i take a cab going and coming with a group of friends ill be ok, what do u think?
