How do you enjoy Halloween in a bad neighborhood?

I live in a bad area of nyc. I came home early from work. I want to go to the Halloween parade but im afraid of going outside and getting egged. Its happened before..I think if i take a cab going and coming with a group of friends ill be ok, what do u think?

yea i think ur safest bet is 2 be wit a group of friends and always be aware of ur surroundings. i live in kearny in new jersey, jus across the river from newark. it can get scary sumtimes.
I live in New York too. Take a cab and stay in a group. Don’t let one bad experience ruin your holiday and fun.
Our neighborhood is not so great. We go to my mother-in-law’s neighborhood to trick-or-treat.
